 Product Description

White PETG filament for open source 3D Printers.  High quality, constant diameter, bright constant colours for accurate repeatable prints.  The filament comes on a plastic spool and is sealed in a plastic bag with dececant and packaged in a box (sometimes we remove the filament from the box to fit everything into your parcel).  Each spool is marked with the type of filament, the recommended printing temperature and the manufacturing batch number.  We have a lot of confidence in the filament we supply, because we use it ourselves.

PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified) is a transparent copolyester.  It has mechanical properties similar to that of ABS, but has the advantage of lowshrinkage.  So this makes it a strong material that can easily be printed like PLA.  This is why it is becoming more and more popular. PET is the same material Coke bottles are made of.

  1. Good material

Posted by Alex on 2nd Feb 2019

It prints better than PLA. Cron is good quality material. The only disappointment is that I thought its made in Mzanzi, but no... China)))
NOzzle - 240 deg, bed - 85, a fan is on. Perfect adhesion to my bed.

  2. Great value

Printing with PETG can be tricky. Very low outer perimeter speeds are needed to avoid stringing. This material seems to ooze less than other PETG I've tried, and at a better price too! PETG is the best option if you need mechanical resilience. It's tough with great binding between layers. In thin sections it can be flexible and in thicker sections it is really tough. It also has near zero shrinkage or warping with larger models. Models stick to the glass print bed with only a little hairspray, so no kaptan or masking tape needed. PETG is also food safe so it can be used for making stuff for the kitchen. I've completely stopped using PLA and ABS as this material is the best of both.
