This filament is currently on its launch special for R389!!!
Verbatim Green PLA filament for open source 3D Printers.
Verbatim forms part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC), which is one of the biggest chemical companies in Japan. After great success of the Verbatim filament range in the Americas and Europe, they expanded to Africa. This is a commercial grade filament of very high quality, repeatability and reliability. The filament is wound onto a solid plastic spool and vacume packed in a plastic bag with desiccant. The filament type, product number and batch number are indicated on the spool. It is packaged in a modern box with handle for easy handling and storage.
PLA (Polylactic acid) is very common in the 3D Printers industry. This is mostly due to its low thermal expansion coefficient. This means less warping and curling during printing. PLA is not as tough as other plastics, but delivers prints with very high dimentional accuracy, ideal for prototyping and scale models. It is available in a range of colors and is easy to print with.

I use it at 210C straight onto the glass. Sticks every time and comes out great.

At last! A quality filament by a big brand!
My print quality improved enough to inspire me to keep on tweaking the settings. Now (5 3dbenchys later) i am proud of my print quality and it is all due to this great filament.
First time bridging is no problem, first time inter layer consistency is impressive. These have to do with precise chemistry, temperature sensitivity and very tight tolerances on the filament diameter :) For once I can type in 1.75mm in the slicer and trust it....
great price too.

Only gotcha I had was the spool did not fit the FlashForge Creator Pro spool holder - the hole was too small. I ended up re-spooling it onto an old spool I had. I should probably just 3D print myself a new generic spool holder. Quality wise it's superb.
All prices are in USD.
