At some point you will want to engrave on something thicker with your M1. This is where the Riser Base upgrade come in. The Riser Base lifts the machine from the bed so that you can work on thicker materials and objects. This upgrade also includes a honeycomb bed which serves as a cutting surface. The honeycomb bed can be instered at different heights in the base depending on the depth needed inside the machine.
